and it is the NFL offseason, but there is still so much to talk about

with my regular partner on the podcast, Jeff Reimbold, and we're joined for part one today by a very

special guest, a friend of ours, getting ready for his third season on the 53-man roster of

the Carolina Panthers, British defensive lineman FAA Abada. Abada, F.A., thanks for joining us.

Well, how's the off-season treating you?

Thanks for having me, first of all. And the off-season's been a roller coaster, honestly,

trying to adapt to everything that's been thrown at us in terms of, you know, the pandemic

and trying to adjust and also in light of, you know, the pandemic and trying

to adjust and also in light of what's happening as well in America. But, you know, I'm staying

safe and by the by the rules and just trying to keep training at that elite level that will

allow me to perform this upcoming year.

We'll talk about that in the second effort, the challenges of getting yourself into NFL shape so that when you do get to training camp. But you mentioned it there. You alluded to it.

It's a troubling time around the world for political reasons and for social reasons as well as

health reasons. And I saw you've been using your voice brilliantly to speak out on the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Do you feel it's important to use your platform?

I think as an athlete or anyone with a platform is very important to use your platform to speak for those

who don't have platforms.

I'm aware of my own privilege and the fact that, you know, the way I move and even being a part

of the pan of the organisation, I personally don't experience some of the discriminations that other people in the
