Summary

Episode 260 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast features a conversation with my uke and teammate, Jake Cechini, as we take a deep dive into his journey toward earning his purple belt. Jake has been one of the most consistent and dedicated members of our team over the past few years, and his growth on the mats is a direct reflection of that commitment.

He’s played a vital role in the Academy, especially with the kids' classes, and has naturally stepped into a leadership position. Jake is one of those guys who earns everyone’s respect—he brings great energy, tough rolls, and zero ego. A lifelong athlete with a background in high-level hockey, it’s always interesting to watch how guys from other disciplines evolve when they step into the world of grappling.

I really enjoyed this one—digging into Jake’s story, his progression in jiu-jitsu, and of course, geeking out over the art we both love.

Please enjoy Episode 260 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast!
