as part of the Newport Beach Film Festival. My guest today was also my guest on the second episode

of this podcast seven years ago and I'm so delighted to have him back. A British actor who is only

40, he has already amassed an incredible body of work on the stage and screens big and small

and has to his name in Oscar, Atoni, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA award and as of just a couple of months

ago, two Olivier Awards. In terms of his work in film, he is of course best known for his performance

as Dr. Stephen Hawking in 2014's The Theory of Everything. But also for memorable turns in 2011's

My Week with Marilyn, 2012's Leyma's Rob, 2015's The Danish Girl, 2020's The Trial of the Chicago

Seven and the Fantastic Beasts film series spending 2016 through 2022. And he is currently receiving

some of the best reviews of his career for his portrayal of a hospital co-worker of Jessica Chastains

in Tobias Lindholm's The Good Nurse, which recently had its world premiere at the Toronto

International Film Festival. We'll screen at this Film Festival later today and we'll begin
