I think what I realized quite quickly is that when you're traveling as a straight person,

the opportunities for like a romance or a one-night stand or like a hookup or like a chance encounter with an interesting person, certainly for me traveling, so much of the time I was just so lonely and I just found that all of the straight people around me were you know constantly finding these little summer romances and things and I just wasn't.
