So today I'm going to talk about using avocados and eggs to benefit your hair and your skin.

0:29.9

And I'm not talking about mushing them up and putting them on your hair.

0:33.9

And some people do that. Some people actually take avocado oil and they put in their hair.

0:37.9

Yeah, it's going to make your hair shinier and things like that.

0:40.9

But the nutrients in the avocado oil does not leak into your hair.

0:46.9

Your hair is actually dead. It's dead protein. It's not going to leak in there and give your hair any nutrients at all.

0:51.9

That's not how it's going to work. It's not going to go into the scalp and be reabsorbed as a nutrient.

0:57.9

It might provide some antioxidant to the scalp, but we're talking about actual nutrients into the hair.

1:04.9

Any oil or anything topical to the hair isn't going to provide nutrients to the hair because the hair protein is dead.

1:14.9

So this is what I'm going to recommend. If you want really nice hair and nice skin, you want to consume these products.

1:21.9

I can consume foods that are healthy fats and avocados and eggs with the yolk are two very, very healthy products to generate really good hair and really nice skin.

1:35.9

So let's talk about why that is. Avocados are loaded with something called keratinoy.

1:41.9

And keratinoy are fat soluble. They're a fat soluble phytonutrient.

1:46.9

And because there's good amounts of fat in avocados, you're going to absorb this phytonutrient much better.

1:54.9

And of course, if you combine this with an egg, you're going to have even more absorption.

1:58.9

So number one, you get more absorption with keratinoy compared to, let's say, a leafy green salad, which is high in keratinoy, but very low in fat.

2:07.9

You don't really get nearly absorption unless you add olive oil, which you could.

2:12.9

But the point is that there's already fat in the avocado oil. It has tons of monosaturated fats, 68% olic acid, which will just help the absorption of this phytonutrient.

2:24.9

Also, avocados being very fatty will help you convert this pre-vitamin A to an active vitamin A, which is retinol.

2:34.9

With eggs, you're getting straight retinol because retinol, being the active form of vitamin A, mainly comes from animal products.

2:44.9

But you can convert the plant source keratinoy to vitamin A in certain amounts.

2:50.9

That can happen, but it doesn't compare to having animal products as far as vitamin A.
