Hello and welcome to the Truth Seekers podcast. A truth seeker is someone who wants to know the truth.

They search for what's true and they won't rest until they find it. I am a truth seeker and

in the stories of the Bible. Dear truth seekers, we have come to the last day of Holy Week,

the day all of the other days have been leading up to, the best day of all the days, Easter

Sunday. Do you know why we celebrate Easter Sunday? Well, before we answer that, let's continue with our story. We left the disciples

scared and hiding, probably not sure of what to do next, afraid the Jewish leaders were going

to come after them. With the disciples were some of the women who had followed Jesus during

his ministry too. One of the women's name was

Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene had listened to Jesus' teachings and followed Jesus during

his ministry. She loved Jesus with all of her heart because he had set her free. You see, Mary

had been tormented and she had suffered greatly by evil spirits.

The devil had sent his demons to cause much fear and anxiety in her heart.

She had suffered for many, many years until she met Jesus.

Jesus had delivered her from the evil spirits that had tormented her. He had set her

free. She, of all people, knew the power of Jesus in the life he came to give. She had been set

free and so she had become one of Jesus' followers too. And for her to lose her Lord, her master,

the one who had set her free, was heartbreaking.

So Mary began to make preparations to go to Jesus' tomb early Sunday morning. What Mary didn't know is that something was happening at the tomb of Jesus that would change everything.

You see, early that morning, the ground began to shake.

It was a violent earthquake.

Something was happening.
