You can grow these for decades. I've seen 50-plus year old Christmas cacti going

absolutely crazy. So I've done episodes before on how to actually care for Christmas

cactus so today we're going to talk about propagation. First of all, what are you going to need?

You're going to need a mature and a vigorous Christmas cactus.

You're going to need a clean container with drainage holes,

some good cactus mix, a spray bottle, and an adventurous spirit.

It's also helpful to have clean, sharp clippers.

Usually you'll want a dish or a saucer

that's larger than the container and some pebbles or gravel.

Now the propagation method is really simple.
