Coach, there has been plenty of headline-grabbing stories from the 2022 NBA finals,

the brilliance of Steph Curry, Jalen Brown's Juice, Robert Williams' Interior Intimidation,

the redemption arc and the return of Andrew Wiggins.

The biggest story of these finals, though, is the Celtics Jason Tatum's led offense, its form,

its function, its inability to score, particularly late in games.

The Celtics won game one with a fourth quarter avalanche, opening small, spacing the floor.

It looked like a sign of

things to come, and ultimately buried the Warriors with a three-point barrage. Since then,

though, Boston has been largely unable to generate consistent offense in the fourth quarter,

failing to eclipse 25 points in the fourth quarter of games two through five,

and scoring just 95.6 points per 100 possessions over the last four

final frames, a level of all the intensive ineptitude that you just do not see very often.

These struggles have pushed the Eastern Conference champions to the brink as they head home for

game six tomorrow night, potentially just 24 hours away from their season's end.
