Ali is the Associate Olympic Sports Performance Coach at Stanford University.  Ali is responsible for all aspects of athlete performance enhancement for Women’s Basketball and Women’s Golf. Before Stanford, Kershner was an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at University of Kansas from 2017-2019 after spending the prior two years as a graduate assistant in the department. In her position she primarily worked with the women’s soccer, women’s basketball, swimming and women’s golf teams. Originally from Palo Alto, California, Kershner graduated from Duke University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in evolutionary anthropology. While in Durham she spent four highly successful seasons as a member of the Duke soccer team, from 2011-14. She was a captain and goalkeeper for the Blue Devils, notching 28 career starts in goal and collecting 92 career saves. Her Duke teams advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in three-consecutive seasons, which included the College Cup final in 2011. Kershner was named to the All-ACC Academic Team all four years of her career. Kershner earned her Master of Science degree in exercise physiology from Kansas in 2017.
