Hi and welcome to another edition of the Byron York show the weekly

podcast or kind of weekly podcast I am your host Byron York and you know in this last

edition we did. We talked to John Dowd who was the president's lawyer in the Russia investigation between June of 2017 and March of 2018 and we really got a lot of reaction to that.

People were fascinated by what Mr. Dowd had to say, by the behind the scenes look at the at the

investigation, so much so that we really had a bunch of questions that we had

left. So we're going to have part two of John Dowd who again joins us now.

Sure, it's all the limes to be with you, Byron.

Thank you. Thank you. last time, which was the level of the president's communication, and, excuse me, the level of the

president's cooperation with the Mueller investigation.

Now, I would say that most news anchors, anybody on the left would say

what are you talking about? The president called the investigation a hoax. He

called it a witch hunt. He talked about 17

angry Democrats. So let me start out with a little story for you and see what

you think about it. I covered the campaign pretty extensively and during the campaign

there were always two levels to what was going on with Donald Trump. On the

surface there was kind of the daily outrage or the daily firestorm.

Trump would set this off to set the media agenda and everybody in the media every day

would have their hair on fire about something that Trump had said

often on Twitter.

Now that was one tier, but on the lower tier below that underneath the surface behind

the scenes there was the daily work sort of one foot in front of the other work of the campaign going on and that people didn't see as much and they didn't pay as much attention to for all the
