You are one of my just favorite humans in general and I think so many people know you and don't realize they know you just because your work is everywhere. So very, very early back in the day, I think we originally

met when I was doing the piece on Roast Battle for Playboy.

Yes, that's right. Or we met around that same time.

And you were doing all the photographs for, was it for the comedy store?

Were you just doing Roast Battle?

I was doing, I started doing Roast Battle and then it sort of just accidentally organically

spilled into the comedy store because I went, oh God like this we're talking about like

2000 I want to say 2015 I was like no one is shooting this amazing magic that's

happening yeah most battle was, at that time, was the most insane, amazing show.

It was magical.

Yeah, it was unreal.

And most people don't realize how incredible that was because it you know it I

think that that iteration of it lasted the wildness of it lasted maybe four years yeah and and so it was amazing when with all those

elements that used to have and and it's still a great show but but back then to shoot it, that's what taught, that's how I learned to shoot well is shooting like crazy action in low light. And that's as hard as it gets to shoot.

Yeah.

Because there was so much going on.

Yep.

And it was like such a magical time at the comedy store

after being like a bit of a lull at the comedy store and it was

weird and then there was this massive resurgence and it was so cool to hang out and it was

it was like another golden era at the comedy store for sure even

just like the patio you never knew who was going to drop in I remember Chappelle came back when
