Summary

The young newlywed, Mary Shotwell Little, bought groceries for a dinner party the next evening to welcome her husband back from an out-of-town work trip. She then had dinner and went shopping with a coworker in Atlanta’s Lennox Square Shopping Center. The two women parted ways in the parking lot around 8pm on October 14th, 1965. Those elements we know for a fact. After that? Everything is speculation. Please also consider supporting Coffee and Cases by joining us over on our Patreon page! That's because we also know that in addition to the flowers themselves,

0:30.9

think about before researching this week's case, is that the number of flowers given might also

have meaning. Let's look again at red roses.

0:40.9

Three red roses mean those three precious words. I love you. Six red roses mean I want to be yours.

0:50.0

Ten red roses represent that the one receiving the flowers is perfection, a perfect 10.

0:56.1

24 mean that special person is on your mind 24 hours of the day.

1:01.7

But what about five roses?

1:04.0

Some say it represents the phrase, I love you very much.

1:08.0

Some argue that five roses are special because it implies that the person receiving the

1:12.3

flowers is the sixth rose that completes the bouquet. Or there might be some special significance

1:19.6

that only the sender and the receiver know. I mentioned five because that is what the person

at the center of our case this week received from an unknown person in the days leading to her disappearance.
