Hello everybody and welcome to the no bad dogs podcast thank you so much for joining us today

my name is Tom Davis America's canine educator and today we have Blake Rodriguez out of

the dog training company in New York City called Dream Come True Canine.

Welcome Blake to the show. Thank you so much for being on and you own a business called

dream-come-true canine, correct? Very, very good. Tell me a little bit about

what you do, how long you've been doing it, where you're doing it.

Give me the details.

Awesome, yeah. So I have a two floor dog training facility in the Big Apple, New York City,

but it didn't start that way right now I have a team of

11 I believe including myself and really what the goal of dog training is for me was just to strengthen the relationship

between the dog owner and the dog who for the most part always love one another but are still struggling.

Right.

And that's sort of been like almost a recurring theme and kind of trend that you realize is there was always been this belief that and not to say that this doesn't happen but there's always been this belief that like if a dog is aggressive it must have been abused if a dog and like in the

definition or the sense of of abuse meaning like somebody went out of their way

to like purposely try to do that.

Or the dog must have had a traumatic past.

Something must have happened.

And the truth is majority of the dogs that are coming through our facility from literally all over the world

Haven't really had that experience that people think it's come from the very owners that love them

and that doesn't mean that those owners are bad they're just struggling and

a majority of the time what we see is people love their dog they just don't know how to love

their dog in a way that benefits the dog right so that's what we that's what we
