Now, all of a sudden, you've yielded yourself to God, and God is the monarch, and God is the ruler.

The third point in Paul's progressive thought is that the body of sin has been destroyed.

Now this really is difficult for some folks, but look at verse 6, very simple.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed.

That henceforth we should not serve sin for he that is dead is freed from sin.

Three facts in verse 6, marvelous things.

Fact number one, our old man is crucified with him.

Second fact, now that the old man is crucified, it says that the body of sin might be destroyed.

Now Paul conceives of sin as associated to the body.
