Hello and welcome to the DSR Daily. I'm David Rothkoff, joined by Riley Fessler and Minna Stein.

We're going to take a look at what's going on in the world today. Frankly, not so good. Who's going to kick us off?

I'll start us today. The State Department has urged Americans across the Middle East to leave immediately using any available transportation as regional airports close and U.S. embassy suspend

services amid escalating strikes between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. The conflict, which reportedly

killed Iran's supreme leader and six U.S. service members,

has led to widespread casualties, embassy closures, and authorized departures of non-essential diplomatic staff.

Stranded Americans say they have limited assistance as they shelter in place,

while Secretary of State Marco Rubio said protecting U.S. citizens abroad remains the government's top

priority. Yeah, we're, you know, starting to realize what's going to go on here for a while, which is

the Iranians are going to strike where Americans are throughout the Middle East. Probably, my guess is that it'll go beyond

the Middle East. And, you know, they're finding a way to lash out at us and also our friends

and allies at the same time as we saw yesterday with a drone attack,

for example, hitting an embassy, U.S. embassy in Riyadh.

They hit American bases.

They hit American embassies.

They strike at Americans, but they strike also at those who are cooperating with Americans.
