In a historic address to a joint meeting of Congress,

King Charles emphasized the indispensable partnership

between the U.S. and the U.K. The king remained primarily politically neutral. He explicitly

advocated for continued U.S. support of Ukraine and emphasized the broader necessity of international

cooperation amidst the ongoing war with Iran. Despite the

celebratory nature of visit, significant friction remains as Trump continues to mock Prime Minister

Kier-Starmer and threaten tariffs over trade disputes. And so now the monarchy is kind of

serving as Britain's primary tool of soft power to stabilize the relationship

between the U.S. and the U.K.

And even more historic than this talk, Trump saw a dead wasp yesterday.
