Last Sunday, in lieu of a regular episode, I released the first ever Sunday Digest on Substack.

This week we're doing listener questions. Let's dive right in.

0:41.7

Our first, what are your thoughts on dry January? Any thoughts on damp January when you can drink,

0:47.8

1:31.5

where I looked this up, but it's defined as, for those looking to reduce their consumption without

1:36.1

avoiding booze completely, damp January was conjured up. For members of the wine and

1:40.8

spirits industry, this is often a time when drinking less, but better is the mantra. Enjoy

1:45.6

good glass of wine, craft beer, mixed drink, and for those who are looking to temporarily embrace

1:49.6

sobriety later in the year. There's always sober October. I've never done a sober October as

1:54.8

October is probably one of the best months to actually drink beers and red wine in, but I do kind

1:59.5

of love the idea of damp January. It's the perfect excuse not to go out but still enjoy yourself,
