which is their inability to get a big freaking hit,

maxed that with a starting pitching staff.

That's been great, but doesn't go more than five innings.

And the Mets overcome both.

They overcome both because, A, the pitching has been awesome.

So even after only getting five from sexy code eye, they were able to get 12 outs from the bullpen and hold on and shut out the Miami Marlins, and then B.

They don't give you a lot of big hits, but they gave you two big hits that produced two runs, and the New York match despite one for 10 with runners in scoring position, despite

Mendy pulling a starting pitcher after just 77 pitches, we have ourselves a 2-0 victory over the

Miami Marlins and it is a fifth consecutive victory. Let that sink in. A wonderful night at city field. I love this. I got to tell you,

I know some people think it's crazy to sit outside in 40 degree weather and freeze one's ass off,

but I had a wonderful time. And there's a weird part of me, maybe I'm a sick freak, I don't know.

There's a weird part of me that enjoys the 42 degree night in April

with 11,000 of my closest friends. So in that beautiful summer afternoon in July, I don't know.
