Summary
Let’s talk about benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH. This means a person has an enlarged prostate gland.
Symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia:
• Frequent urination (especially at night)
• A weak stream
• Dribbling after urination
• A sensation that you can’t fully empty your bladder
Excess estrogen increases the size of the prostate. Estrogen also increases prolactin, which can increase the size of the prostate.
Estrogen is a byproduct of testosterone in both females and males. To convert testosterone to estrogen, you need an enzyme called aromatase. The testicles and fat cells make aromatase.
Phytoestrogens can mimic estrogen, but not very much. To shrink the prostate naturally, we want to inhibit aromatase to decrease estrogen production.
Top things that increase aromatase:
• Age
• Body fat
• Insulin
• High-carb diets
• Alcohol
• Whole grains
• Hormone replacement therapy
• Birth control pills
Things that decrease aromatase:
• Cruciferous vegetables
• White button mushrooms (sautéed)
• Flaxseed
• Green tea
• Citrus peel
In addition to losing weight with Healthy Keto®, reducing insulin, and consuming cruciferous vegetables, you can try a fantastic natural remedy for an enlarged prostate that involves citrus peel.
The best natural remedy to support prostate health:
Add a whole lemon and a glass of water to a blender, and blend it for about 30 seconds. Then, blend again with about five to ten drops of liquid stevia or 1/2 to 1 cup of blueberries. You can have this at any time of day—enjoy!

| 0:00.0 | Let's talk about benign prostatic hyperplasia. What does hyperplasia mean? It means enlargement. |
| 0:07.0 | Okay, so this BPH problem is basically an enlarged prostate. It affects your urination. The stream |
| 0:14.3 | of your urine is a bit on the weak side. You might find that you dribble after you urinate. |
| 0:19.5 | And you just might have the sensation that your |
| 0:21.1 | bladder is not empty. So we're going to talk about this. And there's actually this one drink |
| 0:26.6 | that you can consume every day to help you shrink the prostate. But more important than the remedy |
| 0:32.5 | is to understand the mechanism and how you develop this problem in the first place. A lot of men, as they get |
| 0:38.6 | older, develop this condition, and some even develop prostate cancer. So this video is going to |
| 0:43.9 | cover both topics. So basically, you have this prostate that is just underneath your urinary |
| 0:49.9 | bladder, and there's a little tube that comes out of the urinary bladder, okay, that's called |
| 0:55.5 | the urethra, and the prostate wraps around that. And normally it should be small, but when it |
| 1:02.2 | enlarges, it becomes bigger and it can constrict the little tube that allows urine to flow |
| 1:08.7 | and even become so big it can push up into the urinary bladder, |
| 1:13.0 | decreasing the volume of your urinary bladder. So you really don't have the full capacity to hold |
| 1:18.6 | urine. All of the estrogen that women have and that men have actually originate from |
| 1:25.9 | testosterone. So estrogen is a byproduct of testosterone. And to convert testosterone |
| 1:33.6 | to estrogen, you need this enzyme called aromatase. And aromatase is made by the testicle |
| 1:41.4 | as well as your fat cells. so that's number one of this |
| 1:44.9 | foundation number two excess estrogen increases the size of a prostate that's |
| 1:53.5 | interesting because you probably thought that your problem was too much testosterone |
| 1:58.7 | but if that's true then why does testosterone decrease with age? |
| 2:04.3 | In men, estrogen increases with age. |
