Are you ready for the greatest free agent wide receiver class of all time?

It's time to get ready and it's weird because you think back to the 2014 wide receiver class.

It was, oh, Odell and Devonte Adams and Alan Robinson and Mike Evans and Brad Egook.

It was so good. Oh, Jordan Matthews. Sammy Watkins.

So epic. But for whatever reason, a number of those receivers are rolling off their second contract or previous extensions this year.

So it's this incredible mix of elite veterans and quality wide receivers rolling off rookie deals.

So let's run through all the free agent wide receivers very briefly and predict whether or not they leave.

And if they leave, ideally, where do they go? Not speculating on where they're going to sign.

But in a perfect world, maximizing each individual receiver's skill sets, what they're best at. Where do they belong in the league?

Where could they go to optimize a particular passing game? And with Devonte Adams, his optimal place is next to Aaron Rogers.

So he's going to stay in Green Bay because he should stay in Green Bay because that would make everything right in the Devonte Adams universe.

And that's what it's going to happen. Chris Godwin is also a free agent.

He's coming off a tour in ACL. He's probably going to be limited throughout camp. He may start the year on the pop.

It depends on what kind of quarterback Tampa can get. If Campican somehow pull off a deal to get Dishon Watson, they're going to want to max out their skill position players and bring back Chris Godwin as well.

If they're going to be starting Kyle Tresk, then it's hard to envision this team extending Chris Godwin when they already have Mike Evans under contract.

Chris Godwin's one of the best slot flankers in the NFL, one of the best.

And boy, oh boy, oh boy, would he be good on Kansas City? You want him to go somewhere that is assured of making the playoff so he can take his time and rehab properly.

And then they pull that Chris guy when ripcourt at the end of September. And oh my god.

But sadly, juju Smith Schuster is also a free agent and he's the one that's been linked to Kansas City.

I think Kansas City would be better off pursuing Chris Godwin and letting a team that needs it to proper slot receiver to go after juju.

And that team is actually Seattle Seattle does not have a slot receiver Tyler Lockett is not a slot receiver. He's a proper NFL flanker, a double move specialist and DK Medcalf is a prototypical ex receiver and they don't have anyone playing slot.
