Could US strikes in Iran pave the way for a ceasefire in Gaza?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to convene a meeting with cabinet ministers and senior defense officials to discuss the latest U.S. framework, which calls for the release of 10 of the remaining Israeli hostages and the

bodies of 18 more as part of a 60-day ceasefire. Hamas officials haven't rejected the proposal,

but they say they require stronger guarantees around what the end of the war looks like.

President Trump says his representatives are, quote, very close to striking a deal. Meanwhile, the fighting and the suffering in Gaza continues.
