Hello, everybody and welcome in to the 11th episode of Draft Class.

I'm your host, Chris Percy Eynon, here as always to relay my

opinions, takes, and answer your questions on the New York Knicks and their approach to the

2022 NBA draft. Exactly zero people, including myself, predicted that the Knicks would do quite what they did this year.

In summary, shout out to J.B. Jeffrey B.F.S. Man, he's the Dean Emeritus. Is that the word? I'm too young for this.

They traded the 11th pick. Andrew's going to be scoffing at me now, too young for this. They traded the 11th pick. Andrew's

going to be scoffing at me now too, rats. They traded the 11th pick. Kemba Walker, four second

round picks and one of the firsts they got from OKC for trading the 11th pick. They got about

13 million in cap space along with the top four protected 2025 first from the

bucks the top 14 protected 2023 first from the wizards the protections do slide to 26 and 27

or the 26 27 year and this pick might not convey and same with Detroit's 2023 first top 18 protected.

Those protections slide to future years and might not ever convey.

But I think they should.

Yeah, the protections are deep.

Jake Fisher has a tweet summing them all up from about 1035 last night that does a good job of keeping it all together.

And yeah, they drafted nobody in the first round.

In the second round, your New York Knicks stayed at number 42 and selected Trevor Keels out of Duke,

someone the Mavericks reportedly liked up before the draft, and that's all we heard about that.

And they also picked up on an Exhibit 10 deal, Jean Montero from the Dominican Republic.

Makes me very happy.

I was excited to tell my mom, this is one of those picks, one of those signings where,

regardless of the outcome, I'm always going to remember
