And the title of this will be Dr. William Sargent, The Battle for the Mind and Brainwashing and Religion and Politics.

So I'm going to go over who William Sargent was. He's from the UK.

And then his book is titled titled The Battle for the Mind.

I'm just going to read a chapter from it titled Brainwashing in Religion and Politics.

William Sargent was our Sargent.

Born 1907, died 1988, psychiatrist, but he was also involved in psychosurgery, which we would call lobotomy,

or even something more profound. But like, we know it's called a leukotomy, but lobotomy's kind

of been stopped, essentially. But deep sleep treatment. He also did ec. electroconvulsive therapy and insulin shock therapy.

So he's got a quack doctor.

I don't think there's any doubt about it these days.

He would be considered that.

In 1938, Sargent was awarded a Rockefeller Fellowship to spend a year at Harvard Medical School.

And so he did experiments there.

This is 38.

And Battle for the Mine was published 1957.

But he was involved in kind of treating people out during World War II.

Like I said, like a lot of his work has been discredited.

But that was what was used at the time, deep sleep, things like that. He was interesting.

I mean, the other thing is Gordon Thomas suggested that Sargent's experiments with deep sleep treatment were part of British involvement

with the CIA, MK Ultra Program into mind control.
