guest today is the world's most famous sex therapist. A German-born

Holocaust survivor who emigrated to America, pursued a career in psychosexual

and relationship therapy, and then in her 50s became a household name, thanks to her candid discussion

of sex on radio and TV, in countless books,

columns, lectures, and university courses, and now, at the age of 91, in a terrific documentary

that debuted at Sundance in January, in theaters, in May, and on

Hulu in June, called Ask Dr. Ruth, the legendary Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

Over the course of our conversation at the Washington Heights apartment in which Dr. Ruth has resided for 54 years,

the 91-year-old and I discussed the devastating impact that the Holocaust had on her and her family. the and ended up starting her own private practice. How in 1980 she wound up with her

own radio show sexually speaking which turned her into a sudden celebrity and

how she handled that. What she makes of the hot button sex-related topics of today, including
