Summary

We have two very special guests to talk about something that’s all around us - the air we breathe in the buildings we’re in!

Eric Christian Olsen (actor, producer, activist) joins us in our chat with Dr. Joe Allen (Associate Professor, Deputy Director, Harvard Education and Research Center for Occupational Safety & Health) to share information about how our indoor environment affects our cognitive health and productivity. Dr. Allen is a leading expert in helping the public navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, with particular attention to healthy buildings. His goal is to improve the health of all people, in all buildings, everywhere, every day.

And he provides tips on things we can do at home to help keep us healthy.

About “EMA Talks: Reel Science”

Harvard Chan C-CHANGE and Environmental Media Association (EMA) launched “EMA Talks: Reel Science” in April 2020 to help inform the public on the science behind important climate, environmental and public health issues. The series aims to be informative and engaging while humanizing scientists and making their work accessible and actionable.

Harvard Chan C-CHANGE’s mission is to increase public awareness of the health impacts of climate change and use science to make it personal, actionable, and urgent. EMA’s mission is to provide a unified voice for our planet through entertainment, storytelling and education. Together, they aim to bring important scientific topics to a new audience and turn climate and public health issues into kitchen table knowledge.
