because of the awesome people I get to sit with. And this next podcast is from a discussion I

had with Dr. Daniel Black. Here they come,

y'all. Here they come. One of the best commencement speakers in the history of commencement,

Clark Atlanta's own professor for 30 plus years, author of many, many books. The Coming is where

I met him. The Coming, one of the most heart-wrenching, beautifully written books about

the transatlantic slave trade, perfect peace, another powerful book, Powerhouse, don't cry for me,

black on black. This man is, to me, one of the best people that I've gotten to know. And I've

gotten to know him this year and last when he not

just joined us on Sirius XM, but also on our healthy, wealthy Y's retreat. He showed up in Kiowa,

January of 2024 and it was transformative. We had a ritual at the water that I can't even describe to you because

it was supernatural what happened. And this man has really grown into somebody that not only do I

respect his work and his and his spirit, but his insight. So we had a conversation about what people are calling toxic masculinity.

I hate these terms, by the way. We have a label for everything, but we're not fixing anything.

We need to do a better job. We've diagnosed all of the problems and have no solutions.

Well, in this conversation, we at least try to wrestle with this issue that seems to,

you know, in my opinion, I don't know if it's a real thing, but I do think the way we treat one

another is not good. And hopefully if you listen to this and share it with people, if you find it

valuable, maybe we can start to treat people a little bit better.
