It seemed like a pretty good idea to do a Saturday podcast instead of a Friday podcast this week here at KKHI because we had the games with the Missouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks on Friday night. One, I guess, okay by Kansas. The ending is certainly not what they hope for and won. Not very good at all for the Missouri Tigers who stormed back and took the lead and had it with less than eight minutes to go and let it get away. We'll break down both those games and what it means for the program for each school on KKHI. We're also going to

talk a little spring training baseball and some news going on. We've got a creeper at KCI. Who could

have seen this coming with all gender bathrooms? We have creepers in there. And Elon Musk offering

to pay TSA agents because the Democrats won't. It's all ahead on this episode of Kevin Keatsman has issues. Kind of fun, a little something different here. Put this up on a Saturday. I'm going to be curious to see how many people will listen over the weekend compared to our weekday podcast. We will start with the Kansas Jayhawks who advance to play St. John's on Sunday, a team that was very impressive against Northern Iowa in their first game.

And Bill Self saying something that I think coaches say this as they get older, I've noticed in their careers. This is in no way, shape, or form a knock. But I don't think Bill Self 15 years ago would say something after a game like this and say, be excited, we won. And don't apologize for winning in the NCAA tournament. I agree with both those things, by the way. I agree with both things that he said. I just don't think it sounds like a younger Bill Self. That's not a bad thing. We all mature. We all change our stances. We all see things differently. Self would say about the Jayhawks that, quote, we were pretty darn good, unquote, for 25 minutes in this

contest, as KU built a 26 point lead in this game. And they blew most of it.

Didn't really have to hang on at the end. I never had a moment where I thought, okay, this is going to

happen or this is possible. I don't think anybody reached that, but it was certainly fingernail-biting time and nerve-wracking for

Kansas fans watching all over the place. Darren Peterson had 28 in this game. He was 11 out of 24

from the field. His four three-pointers were really big. They couldn't get Flory Bedunga going down

low. And I just don't understand why the inside game

with Flory was not there against a team like Cal Baptist. I couldn't figure it out. You only

had six points in the contest. Seven rebounds is nice, but this is a, but Dunga's a guy that's used to

be a flat out difference maker. He's going to have to be a more important part of their effort

against St. John's if Kansas is going to advance. And if they move on to the Sweet 16, incredibly,

it'll be the first time since 2022 when they won the national title, that KU made it to the

Sweet 16. So this is going to be one of the big marquee matchups, Rick Petino and Bill Self,

against each other in the round of 32 as Kansas advances 6860.

You know, the game itself was a little bit of a microcosm of their season.
