In the aftermath of the Second World War, there were two great powers, the United States and the USSR, and the formulation for these two great powers was a world of bipolarity.

Only they really mattered.

After the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Berlin Wall,

that gave rise to a new period of unipolarity where America reigned supreme and in all truth

it had no real adversaries. For many of you watching or listening,

that was the only world you'd known. That's certainly the case for me.

But it now seems that that world of uni polarity of America being

the only great power in the world is over. It's in the rearview mirror. There's been Russia's war in Ukraine. There's been

failed embargoes and sanctions on China, which increasingly is catching up with the US both

economically and technologically.

And more recently we've seen the Huthies in Yemen a group very few people had even heard

about until last year potentially influencing the price of oil and inflation

across Europe and the wider world over the rest of 2024.

Clearly something has changed.

Clearly America doesn't define the rules of the game as it has done for much of the last 35 years.

But what is a multi- multipolar world if that's what we're moving towards?

And who are the other polls? To discuss that I have a brilliant guest. He is a co-host of a podcast called the
