You know, we sometime back interviewed you because you had done this book and I'm holding it up.

This is an amazing book.

Your first book, Israel Rising, and it's not like any other book I've ever seen.

Tell people what you did in Israel Rising.

So with Israel Rising, I had gotten a hold of about a thousand black and white photos

that I then shrunk down to about 100 that covered about 25 locations all over Israel

and then went back with a pro photographer to reshoot the angles as closely as possible

to show how much that the land has revived since

1948, since Israel became a nation again. And you hear about a place like Nazareth, Jesus,

hometown, if you will, and you've got an old, old picture here that back in, at the end of the 19th century, and you've had someone

then stand in the same place as that photographer stood. If you can find the place.

Yeah, you know, and that was part of the, the part of the challenge or really it was more

of like an adventure for me. It was kind of like a hunting for an X marks the spot

location because I didn't want to just say, well, here's Nazareth and here's a new picture

and just kind of randomly put those together. I wanted to try to find as closely as possible

the actual locations where these photographers stood. So sometimes we would be in

Nazareth or up in the Galilee and looking for these places and we would be holding up these

old black and white photos and then looking at the view in front of us and think well I think we're
