it is like 83 degrees on a sunny day in New York City and it's like I'm a kid again my dad's not here is watching Game of Thrones reruns I'm eating fucking chicken thighs and roasted vegetables for lunch feel like the king of the universe isn't that interesting that to be a child in my father's home makes me feel like the king of the universe it reminds me of the good of the

good old days when I would watch 21 jump street and eat frozen pizzas without fear of reprisal from anybody when everyone was at work and I was the latchkey kid it also reminds me of a very grim period where you know when I became a heroin addict I lived down the street my dad lives on 27th street and I lived on 24th street and I remember after I got fired and I was kind of trying not to use the word

heroin I would come here every day and they would be at work or wherever they would be and I would sit at my dad's computer and I would use Napster and I would just make discs it was before streaming Napster all for all of you young people out there Napster was this program that allowed you to get music for free and I just sat in my my childhood room which was then my dad's office you know kind of in some stage of

withdrawal or high or on methadone and one of those stages and I would just pump out discs and I probably made 10 mixes that I wound up taking to Florida to rehab because I was an outpatient at the time and on methadone but it's funny those are the memories I think of when I'm in the house alone
