Seeing Darth Maul take over the screen on the Phantom Menace was very compelling.

With his blood-red skin, black tattoos, and double-ended saber staff, he commanded attention.

He is everything you want in a bad guy, and arrived at the Jedi.

As we know, Maul is cut in half by Obi-Wan. Both halves fall down a shaft at a sight.

As the stories continue, we begin to find out more about the Sith.

Yoda, with concerns, states,

Always, too, there are. No more. No less.

What's interesting to think about is that Maul burst onto the scene out of nowhere, fully trained.

As the story continues, we learn that Maul's master is Palpatine, where did Palpatine train Maul?

How was he able to train this talented Sith Lord in secret?

When we first encountered Count Duku in Attack of the Clones, it might be hard to remember,

But up until then, he had trained every day.

He had already trained and served under Sidious as his Sith apprentice for ten years.

Even before Count Duku began his descent to the Dark Side, he was considered one of the most powerful and revered Jedi.
