Let's go to our first story.

Donald Trump has declared an international trade war. Today, 25% tariffs on

US imports of steel and aluminium came into effect, and they applied to all countries,

with no exemptions and no exceptions. Now, most world leaders have reacted with Fury.

We firmly believe that in a world fraught with geoeconomic and political uncertainties,

it is not in our common interest to burden our economies with such tariffs.

Such a decision by the Trump administration is entirely unjustified.

This is against the spirit of our two nations enduring friendship and fundamentally at odds

with the benefits that our economic partnership has delivered over more than 70 years. If we go into a recession, it's self-made

by one person. It's called President Trump's recession, which shouldn't be this way. We should be
