Thank you all for coming. It's an honor to be with you.

I can't think of any other audience. I'd rather speak to than people on the way to

ministry like you are. Let's pray.

Lord we continue now to worship over your word.

I pray that as we hear and as I speak you would be treasured you would be loved you would be honored

and to that end you would more clearly be seen and understood.

So, anoint me for this work, I pray. May I be faithful to your word and may there be the

Enlightenment of the heart to see your greatness, your glory, your purposes for these students and

faculty and guests. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. So if you have a Bible I invite

you to turn to John Chapter 8, the Gospel of John Chapter 8.

We're going to read verses 28 through 34. My topic title is Don't Waste Your Seminary,

Verse 28, so Jesus said to them,

when you have lifted up the son of man, then you will know that I'm he, and that I do

nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the father taught me.

And he who sent me is with me.

He has not left me alone, for I always do things that are pleasing to him.

As he was saying these things, many believed in him.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him,

if you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
