Can we talk some news of the day?

Sure.

We're here at the Congressional Black Caucus, the CBC, 54th anniversary. And there's a lot to talk about, especially as it relates to people of color in this country. Yeah. But I want to start with, as I said, the elephant in the room, and that is the former FBI director James Comey. Yeah. Donald Trump, it looks like revenge to me, the indictment against James Comey.

Yeah.

What do you think?

I mean, it is.

And I think, you know, it is a dangerous moment in our country because when a president

orders the persecution of his sort of like adversaries that's that's not just the slippery slope right

like that is entering a dangerous territory and so like my my biggest fear is that people do not

understand what country we are becoming and that's a very very dangerous country you know how are you um do you talk to your colleagues about it because they say you know adam shift is next they say or um you know well we, any number of people. It could be you.

We saw that the, that sort of like DM to the attorney general that, you know, he accidentally

ended up, like, tweeting it to the world where he says, you have to go after these people.

And he had a list of folks and, you know, Komi was on there.

And I think many members, as soon as he got sworn in, you know,

we're thinking about what does it look like to take out insurance, to protect ourselves,

to, you know, to have lawyers to, because we, we knew that there was going

to be this threat of us being prosecuted by Trump and his administration because he's just

a petty, disgusting, like, human being who really enjoys inflicting pain on people.
