Thaddis McCotter writing in American greatness about the Domino theory. This is my youth, the 20th century, the domino theory coming out of the red scare of the 1950s

was straightforward. If this country falls, then that one will fall.

Usually they're pointing to some countries in Asia. Very difficult to find on a map.

The first one they pointed to was not Vietnam. It was not Cambodia. It was Laos. That was

the fear. If Laos falls then. And then they did the old Switcheroo and we were in Vietnam and therein lies the tragedy of
