The DOJ says strong safety measures have to be put in place for Google to prevent it from

using artificial intelligence to increase its dominance in web search.

The company is defending itself at a Washington court in a trial where the DOJ is trying to convince

a judge to compel the company to sell its

Chrome browser to restore online search competition. According to Reuters, the DOJ's attorney

said it's time to tell Google and all other monopolists who are out there listening and they are

listening that there are consequences when you break the antitrust laws.

An attorney representing Google told the judge that the DOJ's proposals were a wish list for competitors

looking to get the benefits of Google's extraordinary innovations.

A day before the trial began, Google said the DOJ's proposals to curb its anti-competitive practices would hamstring how the

company develops AI, among other harms. Google said on Sunday that it would hold back American

innovation at a critical juncture. They went on to say that we're in a fiercely competitive

global race with China for the next generation of technology leadership,

and Google is at the forefront of American companies making scientific and technological breakthroughs.

Chinese EV manufacturer Neo has delayed the European launch of its Firefly EV to the third quarter of

2025. The company's progress in Europe has been

slower than expected due to the sales and service network challenges, according to the CEO at an

event in Shanghai. Neal unveiled the Firefly brand in December as a rival product to Mercedes-Benz's

smart and BMWs mini and said at the time it will
