It's February 23rd year of our Lord, 2022 winter. I don't know, maybe fading in the rearview, spring somewhere on the horizon, but our numbers haven't gone anywhere. We were looking over this yesterday, kind of forensically. I always want to say the word. I never really know what it means in the world of data and analytics. But as I've told you guys, we don't do the offseason

on the show and you have obliged there to the point where our podcast numbers actually haven't

gone down. They've gone up a little bit since the last time a college football game got played.

Really appreciate that. It kind of befuddles everyone else in the company here because this is

supposed to be the time allegedly where you guys all leave. Couldn't be us. That's all I said to him. Couldn't be us. Very professional

we've talked about a whole lot lately.

He said, why would a college football commissioner be good for the sport?

Wouldn't he or she be just another suit elected by the suits that are already messing

up the sport?

This is a good question.

This is what's dangerous about the concept. It's also why a lot of people don't think we'll ever have a college football commissioner. And to be clear, kind of what Xavier's talking about is what we have in the NFL. A lot of people look at Roger Goodell. He makes $30 or $40 million a year, which is wild, by the way, if you didn't know that that but really people look at Roger Goodell

and they say yeah his name tag says Commissioner but what power does he really

have that the team owners didn't give him answer none he has no power that the
