Do you know how to fight?

That's my question.

Do you know how to get into a street fight if your life depended on it?

Well, for most of my life, that answer for me was no.

I was a punk-ass geek that used to get beat up at school

because I didn't know anything about fitness or lifting weights or martial arts.

But in 2002, I started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu here in London.

And I went to UFC 38 at Royal Albert Hall, Brawl in the Hall, right?

Which is the first MMA event I ever saw.

And I got hooked and I started training in martial arts.

I went from, I started with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,

and then I moved to Muay Thai and boxing,

and I've trained all around the world now.

But the one thing that absolutely changed my life was Jiu-Jitsu,

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

And I've learned from many of the Gracies, including Hodger Gracie here in London, who gave me my Purple Belt, who is considered probably the greatest grappler in the ghee to have ever lived. And I've trained at Henzhou Graces in New York City. I've trained with John Danor, one of those guys there. I've trained in Rio de Janeiro at

Gracie Barra. I've trained in Tokyo, in Thailand, in Los Angeles, everywhere. And so that's why

I'm super excited today to welcome Henner Gracie on the show. Henner is one of the Gracie

clan who runs a massive facility out in Torrance, California, and him and his brother

Huron do something called the Gracie Breakdown, where they break down fights that they see.

And those could be street fights or fights with police officers and suspects or fights from

the UFC. And they have so much passion. These guys just, they ooze passion. They love their Gracie system. They think it's the best in the world and it is, I would agree. And they also take it to the next level and show people how to use like weapon disarming and all sorts of stuff. Women's self-defense. So I'm pumped. I got Henner on the show today and we're going to talk about how you can use Jiu-Jitsu in your life. But for many, many reasons. Also, you can use the techniques of Jiu-Jitsu in business. He's going to show you why Jiu-Jitsu is most effective as opposed to a striking art. Anybody can learn Jiu-Jitsu. My daughter, Gabby, I started taking her to Jiu-Jitsu when she was eight years old.
