If a woman wants to take charge in a relationship, she'll often find little resistance.

But I do think there's a tendency on the part of men to say, you women want to be the men?

Go ahead.

And a tendency on the part of men to step back and say, you women are going to take charge, we're not going to compete with you for it.

God has designed men to play a unique role in the home and church, and he's given women a different role.

Nancy's been explaining the scriptural basis for this idea, and today she explains why embracing biblical femininity isn't a tedious chore, but a great blessing.

Well, we've touched on a number of controversial issues over the past several days, and

there's part of me that's very nervous to air this series, and part of me that's excited,

because I think this is a day where we really need clarity and we need the conviction, that God's ways are right, and I hope that what I've said

you've taken with a spirit of gentleness and humility realizing.

I read recently that Calvin, the Great Reform Theologian, said that the best and most accurate

theologian is right about 80% of the time.

So where does that leave the rest of us on our best days?

So I'm not claiming any infallibility on these issues or any authority on these issues.

What I've tried to do is take us to the Word of God and show you what I understand the scripture to teach about the roles of women

and the spirit with which God

wants women to conduct themselves, Christian women, as we model and exemplify the gospel to our

world. But now we come to this question. Does all this really matter? Why take, you know,

two weeks of expensive radio time, airtime to talk about all this issue?

Is this something we really need to talk about?
