And this comes on a surreal night. A surreal night at Pepsi Center that I'm

sure you or I won't ever forget. And we'll touch on the game briefly. But, you know, you've probably

heard by now, but Sunday afternoon, you know, maybe an hour, hour and a half before this Nuggets and Rockets game

tips off the news of Kobe Bryant passing away in a helicopter crash that left nine dead.

At least that's what the news is as of this recording.

A surreal night for so many reasons.

And like I said, I think we'll touch on the game a little bit, but a lot to unpack.

And a chilling night, I mean, it's tough to describe what it felt like being in the

arena, being around the team, watching guys react to this news, and really just taking it all in

tonight. The basketball was secondary, I think, to just about everyone in this building, if not

everyone. And it is one of those you will remember where you were moments. And I'll make some

references here. It's not to compare tragedies or anything like that, but I just think in my life, there's only been a few. You know, I think of 9-11. I think of a couple of just, and I'm not comparing, you know, a helicopter crash. I just mean to say that there are these moments in life that don't feel real. And this is, we're all going to remember where we were

when we learned of this. Maybe the weirdest part, man, as we're in this day and age now online

with truth and reporting, where we all had to wait to find out if this was real. You know, we live in a

world where things that aren't true get confirmed every day.

And so maybe the most painful part of this was coming to turns with its likelihood while still holding at hope that we would find out otherwise, you know.
