Welcome to Double Shot of Steelers presented by Bandool.

There would certainly have appeared to be plenty to discuss today without anything new on the horizon.

However, Mike Tomlin went way off the rails today at the press conference.

That's not a criticism, as you'll hear here today.

But he said stuff that he has never before said and i have a feeling that it was not by accident i have a feeling that something occurred yesterday

to set him off in this regard.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, let's first roll back through yesterday. The Steelers beating the Browns 23 to 9.

The Steelers doing it their way.

The Steelers getting the job done right specific to that opponent.

If you're looking at the standings and say that other team stinks,

you might end up being correct.

But in the moment, that was one of, if not the top defenses in the NFL.

And the Steelers put up a couple of touchdowns and three field goals on them.

To me, the offense wins that game.

So you think that's going to be the thing

that gets talked about today in the Mike Tomlin Press conference, which is pushed up a day

because of the short week, Steelers versus the Cincinnati Bengals out there on a Thursday.

Instead, the subject arises of Joe Flacco being in Cincinnati and how he got to Cincinnati

at midseason with Cleveland making what I think everybody acknowledged at the time was a bizarre

trade not just because it's in the division.

Teams make trades in the division, especially when they're out of it, when they don't feel like there's any, you know, competitive advantage or disadvantage to doing so.
