What up, guys? We spend so much time talking about the offense, specifically the quarterback

position to a lesser extent, wide receiver two and everything else. I want to throw things to the

other side of the proverbial football today

and focus on the defense because I don't think any of us would dispute

that over the course of the 2024 season,

this defense was either exposed or worn down or both.

And for me, when I think about exposure, I think about part of the Indianapolis game,

I think really about the Cleveland game and what Jim Schwartz was able to do to them.

And then from there, I think about they just ran out of gas.

Maybe you can run out of gas because you're expending a whole lot of energy on things that you don't necessarily need to be doing.

Now, I broach this subject being fully aware that it's fantasy land.

You're not going to get Mike Tomlin to change the way he does things.

I could say that about pretty much any subject, and it would apply.

He sees that as an admission of defeat, as opposed to just, let's adjust.

You know, let's figure some different things out.

It's, it's, it's, it's like, I can't let anybody know that I was wrong at any stage of anything.

But when I think about this group, the first thing that comes to mind, the first word that comes to mind is that they've been defanged.

You don't see nearly enough emphasis on being aggressive on getting after the quarterback other than, you know, admonishing the various individuals.

Hey, you get after the quarterback.

Instead of just, you know, sending a bunch of bodies there, being unpredictable,

you know, going in and out.

You don't see the Steelers do any of that stuff.
