I'm Dan Kovachovich of DK. Pittsburgh Sports.

We are on the eve of mandatory mini camp, which used to just be mini camp, but so many people made such an issue

out of OTAs, which are voluntary, who's there? Who didn't show up? Who did show up? That's great

that they showed up. That's terrible that they didn't show up. That eventually the football lexicon grew grafted onto the word mini-camp, the word

mandatory. Not to make it sound ominous or foreboding, but to just set the distinction.

That's where we are. Tomorrow is mandatory minicamp. And as such, everyone who is signed, they have to be there.

Now, if they're not there, what happens is they get fined.

It's not the end of the world.

If you're making a bazillion dollars, you're not really going to mind the fine so much.

But this is the one that actually does come with a bad look.

So it's going to be interesting tomorrow to see if T.J. Watt is there.

If he is there, is he a full participant?

He still has another year on his contract.

So he is signed.

We'll see how it is that that plays out.

This will also represent, obviously, the first appearance of Aaron Rogers in a Pittsburgh uniform with his Pittsburgh new Pittsburgh teammates, new Pittsburgh coaches, and all that other stuff.

It'll be his first opportunity, and he needs to make the most of it,

because there's only three days until they all just vanish for five weeks,

to really get ingrained, to get to know people's names.

Contrary to maybe some perception, it's not just the players.
