Shot of Steelers and it's coming to you from the real home of your favorite football team. I know a lot of people think of Acresher Stadium as being that, uh-uh,

only eight to ten times a year.

This is where their headquarters are.

This is where they do their thing.

And today it's where they resumed practicing

for the first time since mini-camp,

having been in La Trobe for three weeks.

This is a setting where you have a chance in general to do a bit of a reboot as a team, as a group.

You have a chance to say, okay, we're getting there, it's a little bit closer now, no more dorms. No more. It's just a good mental cleansing spot.

That, to be honest with you, was kind of the impression that I got from these guys today.

Everything felt a little bit fresh, a little bit new. Oh, and there was something else.

As soon as you walk into the locker room, now this wasn't new for them, this was new for reporters. We haven't been in there all summer.

It was a locker room. Now this was not something splashy. Remember this is the Roonies we're talking about and this is the Steelers we're talking about. They don't do splash and style and whatever. But you turn the corner and you head

into the room and you see the first thing is a big giant Steelers logo that's lit up and it has

these white vertical lights. And I mean, it could have been done, you know, in a cooler way.

The white lights could have been gold or whatever, but it was something.

Walk in, you make a turn to one side or the other, and you see that the walls were painted.

The walls are now solid black. They were a lighter, drabber color in the past.

They replaced the carpeting.

Now, the total bill for this probably was in the area of $239.

However, it was something.
