Easy for me to say. I'm Dan Kovach of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports.

Penguins will conclude their regular season.

Tomorrow night in St. Louis against the Blues,

wholly meaningless game.

And holy meaningless games are going to be the subject of today's program

since they seemed to legitimately have meanings to some over the weekend.

I'm going to warn you in advance.

I'm not going to be super kind to anyone complaining about the way the penguins and

or Sidney Crosby and or Yvgeny Malkin handled this weekend.

And what for them was an extraordinary circumstance in which they

wanted to pay their respects to Alexander Ovechkin and they felt it was better to do that

and smarter to do that and really the only option to do that by playing

in Washington rather than in Pittsburgh. They had the game off in Pittsburgh and they played

against the capitals yesterday so that there would be one last if it turns out to be that

Sid versus OV meeting.

I wasn't all that into the pomp and circumstance of any of this anyway, because I don't

think Ovi's retiring.

I think he's got a real crack at a thousand goals.

And I just, I think you get to the end of a long season,

and I've seen this, experienced it and professional athletes that I've covered over the years,

they have a completely different mindset at the end of a regular season than they do a month
