The Penguins next game might see the return of Yvgeny Malkin after missing 15 games to injury.

He was back at practice today, Chris, up in Cranberry with no asterisks, no apologies, no nothing.

And, well, slot him in. You do that. that slot him into the lineup right now a problem

nobody thought they would be having a couple weeks ago but my mic's muted sorry uh no it does it does

look like the decision might possibly be a little easier with the

unfortunate news of Rector McGority got injured in practice today.

Have you had to see what the, what the, you know, future is going to hold with that.

That might at least keep him out for, you know, a game.

You know, he was a scratch in the last game that Vela Kovinen obviously stepped up.

But still, you still have to find a place for him.

And it's a good problem to have at this point, especially when the team is writing a five-game winning streak.

And again, you're not asking him to come in and save you from, you know, what was happening just a few weeks ago.

The concern that I have with Gino is something that I've had with him for years, which is that, excuse me, more of his game

derives from his legs than what I think most people realize. You think of Gino, you think of the,

you know, he's tall, he's lanky, he's got the brilliant hands, vision, shot, all that other

stuff that he's always had.

But he himself has told me that everything comes from the legs for him.

When his legs are, in his words, feeling good, then he's riding the horse.
