Something was off with Pat Fryermouth.

I wasn't sure what it was,

but I always make a point of finding him after a football game.

There he was sitting in his corner,

the farthest corner in the locker room,

kind of hunched over looking uncomfortable, not looking at all like someone who'd welcome

some company. We made eye contact and he motioned for me to come his way. I'd get over there

and he makes it known that he'd rather not have a whole barrage of

cameras and microphones crushing on him because of whatever was amiss. But he still wanted to talk

football. So we talked football. We talked about what it just unfolded on that field, not just for him, for everybody, including

everyone up in those yellow seats.

And mostly we talked about how everything finally, finally came together.

Offense, defense, symbiosis, and everything.

Is that what this was supposed to be like all season?

Yeah, awesome.

It was awesome.

You know, being able to put that together in December,

it was just awesome to be able to put a complete game together in December,

close to the playoffs and just making that road clear for us.

Making that road clear for us. Making that road clear for us.

That roads never looked clearer at any stage of this psychotic season.
