Since flying home from Ireland, your favorite football team has faced four of the current top five NFL running backs.

Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, Derek Henry, and just now, Devon A. Chan.

They had, somewhat surprisingly, a reasonable amount of success against three of those four,

everybody except Cook. But now, this coming weekend, they might have their greatest challenge yet in this regard.

If you're into hockey and or baseball, I also offer daily shots of penguins and pirates in the

same place that you found this. As ever, on Fridays, on a game week, I have thoughts. I'm not sure how many

exactly, but I'm going to fire away until I run out. Thought, the combination, the one-two punch of Jemir Gibbs and David Montgomery,

Gibbs with 1,100 yards, Montgomery with 635 yards,

the total of 21 rushing touchdowns, the total of 13 big runs, is unlike any offense that the Steelers will

have faced all season.

That's not me overhyping the Lions because they're next on the schedule.

Rather, it's because in all of those other cases, with all of those other running backs I mentioned,

at least the three that were neutralized, the Steelers were able to get things done against

the opponent's quarterback. Therefore, they were able to make that opponent one-dimensional.

Example, against Indianapolis, they waved a magic wand at Daniel Jones and turned him back into his New Jersey self, which was diabolical when you think about it.

In Baltimore, Henry was easier to handle because Lamar Jackson was nowhere near healthy, if we're being honest.

And against the dolphins, Tua Tago Vailo was so terrible, he ended up getting not just benched,
