The pirates are bad at pretty much everything.

There's not one area. It's really hard to even circle one individual who's fared well through this opening week.

Six games in, purely from the offensive perspective, pirates are batting 189.

They've scored 15 total runs.

That's 25th among Major League Baseball's 30 teams.

They've struck out 61 times.

They've walked only 25 times.

They have three home runs.

For some perspective on what that means, consider that the leader in baseball,

those guys using those crazy weaponized bats the

Yankees have 18 Dodgers have 14 Cubs have 12 Orioles have 10 the A's have 10 the

pirates have three.

It's so bad that if I spent this opening segment,

belaboring everything that's gone wrong,

I would eat up the entire segment and the segment after that and probably cut into tomorrow's show as well.

Bottom line is it's going to be really awkward to have these people, especially

Derek Shelton, because he's the only one of the ones that I'd mentioned off the top here who's going to get introduced to this crowd Friday at PNC Park.

You know, fans aren't going to boo Paul Skeens.

They're not going to boo Brian Reynolds.

They're certainly not booing Andrew McCutcheon.
