But the real damage was done on Philadelphia's first two goals.

Yeah, Phil Tomasino scored to make it two to one and make it seem like it was a game, but it wasn't.

And it really wasn't at any point.

But the first two goals, Ned, no.

He just couldn't make anything happen as he would to his inestimable credit afterward acknowledge readily to reporters in Philadelphia,

including our own Taylor Haas of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports.

I don't feel any different. I hope it was just maybe some rust. It's pretty frustrating,

though, like you said, we were all playing really well. And I mean, I think the final score on the Washington game wasn't really indicative

necessarily of how we played as a whole and I mean we weren't that bad I got people

clean with five shots we get six more tonight and not even five periods of play. So it's pretty

it's hard to it's hard to look at these games and say we've played well but we have. We just

can't stop anything right now and it's pretty frustrating. These guys deserve better. The first

shot of the game goes in from a crappy angle. The second shot beats me from 30, 40 feet away.

We start to get some momentum back and then I can't come up with a safe.

And then they score two quick ones again off face off.
